The Straits Times.com story yesterday about a father who turned in his glue-sniffing son to the police had one reader commenting: Perhaps a good caning, when he was much younger, would have prevented the boy from taking up glue-sniffing in the 1st place, & having a criminal record now.
For the past week or so, the print version of the Straits Times ran articles about the effectiveness of the rod. It seems more and more parents are against the rod, and in favour of "talking it over". What do you say?
